So, which one will suit you best? Should you buy the One, the 1000, 890 or 880?

To complicate matters even further, the 880, 890 and One look quite the same. In addition to this, if you go to Logitech's webpage or any other webpage to help you decide, you'll still struggle to rule where the differences lie. It's not as straight-forward as you might think and chances are you'll end up buying the wrong one.

In this record I will help you to make the right decision for your personal circumstances.

Quality-wise there's no inequity between the four models. However, there are some differences in features which may be foremost to you:

1. Touch-screen or not touch-screen. Only the 1000 and the One have touch-screen. If this is foremost to you, you have to think one of these two. This does not mean that the 880 and 890 are inferior. By no means. As a matter of fact, I've read many reviews of habitancy who actually prefer the customary operate buttons.

2. Radio frequency sensors: All models use infra-red sensors to operate devices, but only the 890 and 1000 make use of radio frequency (Rf) as well. This is a very foremost fact, since with Rf you can operate devices behind closed doors or even in an additional one room. If this is foremost to you, you should think either the 890 or the 1000. However, this comes at a price, as these two models are considerably more expensive than the other two.

3. Rf and touch-screen: Only the 1000 have both Rf and touch-screen. If both these features are foremost to you, you have to buy this one.

4. Design: The 880, 890 and the One have the well-known comfort-grip shape, whereas the 1000 has a rectangular shape. Apparently this shape has not been accepted that well, but for many it's not a qoute at all. In any case, if you want both Rf and touch-screen, you have to buy the 1000 model, either you like the rectangular design or not.

5. Finally, pricing: There's a huge inequity between the 880, going for 7.43 on the one hand, and the 1000 going for 2.80, on the other hand. The 890 goes for 7.10 and the One for 3.41. Everybody has to rule for himself either the higher prices of the 890 and 1000 are justified in terms of his own allocation or not.
