Mice aren't surely as cute as they look in the cartoons. They don't wear bows in their hair and they don't wear matching cloths.

In real life, mice are disease carriers. They can send the hanta virus, they carry other parasites such as fleas and ticks and they are a tasteless trigger for allergies.

Another major problem with having mice in your house is that the urinate and defecate on your food. Obviously, this is a major condition hazard.

Mice will speedily find your kitchen and will plunder it for their own benefit. They will get into your food and you may not even comprehend it. If you have mice in your home, you may have already eaten contaminated food. That's a very scary thought, isn't it?

Don't fool yourself into thinking that the only thing that mice can eat is the food left out unwrapped on the countertop. Mice will chew straight through most industrial containers (another very scary thought that I won't go into here).

In order to protect your food, you'll need to take a few steps.

First of all, secure some large, glass jars. The extra large ones that you can buy pickles in work great.

As you go straight through your cupboards, straight through out everything that has been touched by mice. If you have a full bag of flour that has been chewed in the corner, throw the whole thing out. In my opinion, its better to be out a few dollars than risk eating mice poo, if you know what I mean.

With everything else that hasn't been touched by the invaders yet, put them in safe containers. Heavy duty rubber containers and glass jars are the only safe methods of warehouse when you are dealing with mice.

After you have made your groceries safe, you need to seal off all potential entrances to your home. This can be a daunting task since the average person has never investigated their home that closely. In fact, this is the step where most people call in the big guns, the pest control specialists that can seal off your home for you and also start you on step number 3, killing the mice that are already nesting and reproducing in your home.

Many people prefer to have person else do this step, rather than mess with hazardous poisons and messy traps.

Even though its a hassle to eliminate mice, the condition benefits are well worth it.
