A wider stance will also help you play great golf in the wind and hit the ball more solid.

Hit Longer Golf Drives - 3 Steps on How to Get More length in Golf

Want to hit longer drives in golf? It is truly quite simple. There are quite a few different tips out there to help with driving distance, but here are 3 that I use on a quarterly basis.
1. Move the ball up 4 to 6 inches in your stance.
2. Shift your weight smoothly from your back foot to your front foot in your swing.
Drives
3. Couple on your shoulder turn.
Most of the time, I would say just stay relaxed and swing without thinking. I know that does not make much sense at all, but it works because the less you think about your swing, the less likely you are going to make mistakes mid swing.
Also, try absorbing the ball up 4 to 6 inches in your stance. The ball should be colse to the inside of your left heel. This helps with ball trajectory. You don't want to sky the ball, but you do want some height to your shot. When you do this, it can truly add 10 yards to your drives.
Now that is just one thing you can do to improve your distance. an additional one selection is to work on shifting your body weight while your swing smoothly. This helps you by using more of your core muscles in the swing and lets your body hit the ball. I know that sounds strange, but the more muscles in your body you use while your swing, the best length you will get.
Also try to Couple on your shoulder turn. Turning your shoulder happens simply while your swing, but if you focus on it, you can generate much more torque in your swing. This results in more of a "whip" to your swing that can generate some serious power.

Hit Longer Drives - Here's How
Posted on Monday, May 2, 2011 by Mommy Helper ผู้ช่วยคุณแม่มือใหม่
To hit longer drives is the dream of every golfer on the planet! Even the professionals players want to hit longer drives. Is there a magic bullet? Do you legitimately know what it takes to dramatically enhance your driving distance?
I'll bet your first retort will be a new driver at 0. Am I right? If not a driver...take more golf lessons. Am I getting warmer yet? If I still haven't guessed right...hit more balls at the range? Am I scorching hot yet?
Drives
The key to hit longer drives is clubhead speed and solid ball-clubface contact. That's it! Seems easy adequate right?
Not!
The Only way to enhance clubhead speed is to have optimal compel and flexibility in your core region. This is the area of your body that creates the torque on the backswing that is unleashed at impact.
How many times have you tried to swing hard and the ball didn't go anywhere? I've been there. How many times did you "just not care" and all of a sudden the ball rocketed off the clubface.
That one time...you were relaxed and probably made a bigger backswing, therefore producing more torque (energy). But I'll bet you have a hard to repeating that don't you? That's because your body has corporal limitations that will not allow you to repeatedly make a full backswing and store that energy.
By incorporating rotational compel and flexibility exercises exact to the golf swing, you will see dramatic increases in clubhead speed and distance.
I've seen increases of 50 yards!
Now if you are already driving it 260 plus yards, you may not see a 50 yard increase, but you could realistically see a 30 yard increase.
It's all about getting your body to move a minuscule best within your golf swing.
So next time you get the motivation to enhance your driving distance...think of working on your body...not swing harder.
The extreme goal is to hit longer drives!
Do you want to observe the incommunicable to creating more power and consistency in your golf swing... And eliminating All your swing faults?

How to Hit Longer Drives
Posted on Friday, April 15, 2011 by Mommy Helper ผู้ช่วยคุณแม่มือใหม่
A longer drive off the tee is something every golfer desires. Adding 10 or 20 or even more yards to your tee-shot can dramatically shave strokes off of your game and that is the focus of this short golf lesson.
Whether you're playing golf for money as a professional, for bragging possession or just for fun, an extra ten to twenty yards with your driver can vastly improve your capability to score well. You might be a long hitter already or you might be a player who doesn't hit it long yet, but you can add at least 10 yards to your drive categorically with a simple drill that anything can learn to practice.
Drives
For those of you, who often grab your 3-Wood or use an iron off the tee because you're afraid of going for the long ball, listen up. I understand your pain! It is very frustrating to try and hit a exquisite driver only to be deep in the rough to left or the right of the fairway or who-the-heck knows where.
But before you give up on it and convince yourself that real golfers "Drive for show, and putt for dough" listen to what Greg Norman had to say about the subject: In his book Shark assault he wrote, "Don't ever sell me on that line. If you can't put your tee-shot in play, the smoothest stroke in the world won't help you enough. To my mind, the most foremost shot in golf is the drive".
Alright then, let's get started. Grab your driver and put on your general grip.
Now issue the last 3 fingers on each hand (for those of you slow learners like me, we're talking about the pinky, ring and middle finger on each hand). You should now have only the index finger (pointer) and thumb of each hand on the club.
With your left thumb and pointer, start your swing by pushing the left side of the grip back, adding just a bit of shoulder and hip turn.
Notice how the driver head extends naturally back along the target line and the toe of the club is pointing up. Your swing will now be on line and on plane and will automatically give you the right feel and categorically add more than 10 yards to your tee shots with greater accuracy.
Keep drilling this until you categorically get the feel for it. Start slow with the driver and convention with all of your clubs. Keep this slow pace and visualize what it is you are doing. When done correctly, repeatedly and with focus, your body will remember what to do and you'll be getting the clubface in permissible position time and again.
Make sure to start with your hands and then add your shoulders and hips naturally.
Too much shoulders takes the clubhead back on a shallow plane, that's why starting the club back with just your index finger and thumb, prevents you from manipulating the club off plane and helps the club increase back on that natural arc we're all finding for in order to stay on plane.
I just know that if you spend a few minutes working on this you will reap the benefits pretty speedily and start adding 10, 20 or more yards to your driver with greater accuracy.
Thanks for reading, good luck and good golfing.

Hit Longer Golf Drives - The simple Way to Get More length on Drives!
Posted on Monday, March 21, 2011 by Mommy Helper ผู้ช่วยคุณแม่มือใหม่
When trying to hit longer golf drives, someone can get very confused with the process. When I look to get more distance on drives, I commonly turn to the basics in my swing. If my distance is hurting, then I am missing something with my fundamentals. There are many different drills available to golfers online, but most are very technical and can cause more problems than they surely solve.
Most of the drills I use are reasoning drills. Golf is a mind game. Your body knows what to do, but your mind gets in the way due to over analyzing. Here are a few things that I like to do to definite the problems in my swing, without doing a swing overhaul.
Drives
Slow Down
One thing I like to do is just take a deep breath and slow down. Many times, when I am on the course, I get very excited when I hit a good shot. This causes my swing to slowly get faster and faster. The theorize this happens is because I want to crush my next shot like the first one. Then, I hit an additional one good shot, but it is not as far as the first one. Why is this happening? You are using all of your power swinging too fast! Just relax and crush it.
Work on Flexibility
Another thing I do when lacking in the distance, is to work on my flexibility. Try stretching before you step up to each shot, even if it is just a little. The more relaxed your body is, the more torque and power you can generate when you start to coil your swing. Take a nice and smooth back swing and let your flexibility generate all of your power. It is as uncomplicated as that!

Hit Longer Drives
Posted on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 by Mommy Helper ผู้ช่วยคุณแม่มือใหม่
Most golfers would like to hit longer drives. There is just something so macho about a ball that comes out of the screws and flies forever. As soon as you've hit one of these you know that all things was just right through impact.
When playing in club events where there is a longest drive prize the winner invariably struts up like a prize cockerel - there is definitely more ego in this prize than any other.
Drives
To be able to hit longer drives consistently takes a bit of practice and a lot of self belief. If you've done it once you can do it again. It's all about tempo and timing.
In one of the first, and in my opinion still one of the best, video tutorials Jack Nicklaus (Golf My Way) describes how, when he wants to hit a long drive, he concentrates on having a totally relaxed body at address and throughout the swing. It is very exciting that he does not grip it to rip it.
To hit longer drives you do need to have the basics correct. So your grip, aim, alignment, stance and posture have to be correct. It also helps to be able to hit a draw which has considerably more run than any other shot.
Think of a golf swing like fly-fishing or a circus educator cracking a whip. In both these situations it is not the speed of the arm that has the desired effect but rather the tempo of the whole movement. If the arm is too fast it overtakes whether the line in fly-fishing or the rope (is it rope or a leather strip?) on the whip, in both cases resulting in a less than satisfactory result.
Similarly if the arm is too slow and lags behind the line or the whip the effect will be a disaster.
The golf swing works pretty much like a motorcycle wheel. The central cog (you) rotates slower than the tyre (the clubhead) and is related by the spokes (club shaft and your arm). The faster you peddle (rotate your body) the faster the spokes (shaft and arms) turn, resulting in more speed (clubhead speed). The foremost thing to note here is that it is the body that turns and not the arms. Far too often golfers try to hit the ball additional by using the power of their arms. As soon as you do that you are getting tension through your body. Jack Nicklaus says this is wrong and I'm not one to argue with him.
You need to put coil in your spring (torso) so that when it is released on the transmit swing the power generated gives you greater clubhead speed and therefore greater distance.
Try this drill to generate greater clubhead speed. Without a ball turn your driver colse to and grip it below the head. Swing the club with both hands but allow the non-target hand (right hand for right handed golfers) to come off just before impact, whilst the target hand continues to the finish. Listen for a "whooshing" sound. The louder the sound the greater the speed. Keep doing this until you find a speed which gives you the many sound. This will be your most productive tempo. Now do the same again but keep both hands on the club through to end whilst replicating the speed that gives the many sound.
To hit longer drives therefore it is foremost that you have the basics right. Once you have that you need to couple on relaxing, there should be no tension in the hands, arms, shoulders or legs, and then let your body take over. Any tension will effect in a less than favourable shot.

5 Tips To Hit Longer Drives
Posted on Thursday, February 24, 2011 by Mommy Helper ผู้ช่วยคุณแม่มือใหม่
Does the fact that habitancy are watching you play, force you to drive badly? Do you want to hit harder and longer drives? It's never too late to do just this. Effect our 5 tips to not just growth your driving distance by 1 or 2 yards but by a whole 15 yards at the minimum!
So get ready to take over the golf course by driving the distance. But before that a word of advice: Technically distinct from the other golfing shots, the most leading aspect when hitting a drive is to visualize it because there lies the key! So let's get started:
Drives
1. Swinging A Wide Arc: Swinging hard may let you hit a few blasts, but you won't get too far as you won't be hitting the ball in the middle of its face. If you have looked closely at how Tiger Woods and Davis Love make a wide arc when swinging, you'll know that it's a crucial part of your establishment to hit longer drives. So, next time you step on the golf course, increase your arms as far as inherent when swinging back and try to make a wider arc to create good club head speed.
2. Be Light On Your Feet: A sure way to hit a longer distance is to move your weight straight through the golf ball. The basic principle to hit long and hard lies in reverse weight shift. Your weight should move from the back to the front rather than the other way round. Also, you must not sway but turn in such a way that your back foot's spikes are in plain view.
3. Turn On Your 'X' Factor: according to Jim McLean, a great Pga teacher, the big shoulder turn is your "X" factor! After conducting a proper study on many players who hit long drives, it was accomplished that they have bigger shoulder turn than their hip turn. This plainly means that a greater hip turn lowers your ability to create more club head speed as less torque is formed. So get a spring in your step and keep your lower body steady as you hit the ball using your 'X' factor!
4. Maintain Your equilibrium Firmly But With Flexibility: To accomplish a steady swing, you need to keep your knees balanced firmly. Shaky knees can lower your power and ability to coil. As you make a backswing, keep your right knee firm (if you are left handed then it will be your left knee) and feel your body's weight on the inside of your right foot. Keep your left knee quite as well and try not to move it laterally maintaining distance between the two knees.
5. Get That Butt In proper Shape: If you want to flat rip then get into shape. A flexible, strong, and lithe body is a sure way to growth your drive distance by over 15-20 yards. So get to the gym as speedily as you can!

The inexpressive to Hitting Longer Drives - Swing Faster Not Harder
Posted on Thursday, January 27, 2011 by Mommy Helper ผู้ช่วยคุณแม่มือใหม่
We golfers are always looking for that tip, a technique, which will allow us to blast the ball further down the fairway. Here's a little private I recently learned from Eric Jones, a World Long Drive Champion and Pga Pro Golfer.
Eric's "secret" is pretty simple, but he admits to taking a long time before of course putting it to practice. So with that said, I don't think Eric will mind me sharing his private -- from one avid golfer to another.
Drives
Most of us are focused on hitting the ball harder. It makes sense. Just hit that little dimpled ball with more brute power and we'll be that much closer to the green.
In theory, it sounds good. But the laws of physics or the basic realities of biomechanics can't be ignored. To growth the length of driving longer, you have to work within nature's rules.
Many of us have found out - the hard way - that intensifying your swing doesn't lead to more distance, only more tension. It's this added tension that destroys the speed of your swing. And trashes that extra length you're after.
So what's Eric's secret? Swing Faster, Not Harder.
This World Champion Long Driving Champion admits that this one particular shift in reasoning has lead him to success in a lucrative pro golfing career.
Swing Faster Not Harder.
Over the years, Eric has boiled down his 'swing faster, not harder' recipe to 5 uncomplicated key swing concepts. These 5 keys to added length are of course remembered with the acronym B.L.A.S.T.
B = Balance
L = Leverage
A = Arc of your swing
S = Speed of your hips
T = Target extension
Use these 5 Keys and you'll 'Blast' all that distracting reasoning chatter we golfers are often plagued with. Oh, and you'll also drive longer than you've ever done before!
